Dry fruits and Chocolate Milkshake – a sweet start to 2018!!!

It is almost the end of the year 2017 and I still can’t believe the year flew so fast. I am sure all of you must have had a good 2017 with of course ups and downs and a lot of lessons learnt for the coming year. Life wouldn’t be interesting without a mix of everything, isn’t it?? And talking about the new year resolutions, I wish I spend some more time on the blog and post more since I did not do much in 2017. My resolution has started a little bit early 😉 That is why I have come up with this yummy treat for you guys.Who doesn’t like chocolates and some chocolate milkshake?? Of course, I am someone who is in love with chocolates. Some chocolaty mix of cocoa powder, dry fruits and milk!! That sure sounds yummy, isn’t it? Try this simple yet super yummy, rich and indulgent Dry fruits and chocolate milkshake and welcome the new year with a bang 🙂 Wishing each and everyone of you a happy, prosperous, dream fulfilling year ahead!!

Dry fruits chocolate milkshake




Serves: 1

Ingredients:

Boiled and cooled milk – 3/4 cup
Pistachios – 5 or 6 and a few more for garnish
Raisins – 5 and a few more for garnish
Sugar – 3 tsp
Cocoa powder – 1.5 tsp

Method:

1) Blend all the ingredients and serve chilled.

Notes:

– Sugar can be replaced with honey or any other sweetner of your choice.
– Quantities can be varied according to your taste.

Simple Capsicum Stir Fry

Been so busy with work that I am not even able to update anything here. Well, time for a long pending post. This recipe is a very simple recipe using capsicum. Can be accompanied with sambar rice or plain white rice. Makes use of paruppu podi aka dal powder. I love this one as it is my mom’s speciality and me being a paruppu podi fan can have it as many times as I want.

Ingredients:

Capsicums – 3 medium
Onions – 2
Tomatoes – 2
Roasted Gram Dal – 3 tsp
Chilli Powder – 3/4 tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 tsp



Method:

1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
2. Now, add onions and saute till they turn golden brown.
3. Next add tomatoes and cook till they turn nice and mushy.
4. Next add capsicums and saute till they are done.
5. Finally, add the powdered gram dal, chilli powder and salt. Mix well and garnish with coriander leaves.
